چکیده

Abstract Background Patients with sterile pyuria may be infected sexually transmitted diseases or have renal tuberculosis. This study investigated the possibility of detecting and Mycobacterial tuberculosis in samples polymerase chain reaction. Methods Forty-four day-3 negative urine culture were for presence Results Among 44 samples, 61.4% positive by reaction (PCR) bacterial DNA (either Mycobacteria). 27 37% Ureaplasma urealyticum , 26% Chlamydia trachomatis 14.8% Neisseria gonorrhoeae 11.1% Mycoplasma genitalium 7.4% hominis only one sample (3.7%) was . No significant associations found between PCR-positive patient characteristics. Conclusions It concluded that predominant followed There no sex, symptomatic patients, antibiotic use. PCR is an instant diagnostic tool pyuria; hence, it advised to performed on as a routine laboratory screening test whenever possible.

Detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Mycoplasma hominis, genitalium and Ureaplasma urealyticum by polymerase chain reaction in patients with sterile pyuria.

PURPOSE Chlamydia trachomatis and Mycoplasma hominis, Mycoplasma genitalium, and Ureaplasma urealyticum are associated with various diseases of the urogenital tract, but they are usually not detected by routine microbiological diagnosis. To determine the occurrence of Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma hominis, Mycoplasma genitalium, and Ureaplasma urealyticum in patients with sterile pyuria. ...

Detection of tick-borne pathogens by MassTag polymerase chain reaction.

MassTag polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a platform that enables microbe detection using primers labeled through a photocleavable link with tags that vary in molecular weight. After multiplex PCR, tags are released by ultraviolet irradiation and analyzed by mass spectroscopy. The identification of a microbe in a sample is determined by its cognate tags. Here we describe establishment and impl...
